Hello and welcome to our website!  My name is Mark Jones and I'm the senior pastor of New Hope.  People call me Mark, Pastor Mark, Pastor Jones, and sometimes even, "Hey!"  I believe that the Lord has given me a vision of what He wants to unfold here at New Hope.  I am ordained with the Assemblies of God and have spent over 25 years in ministry in a number of venues.  I've been a Senior Pastor for over 12 years, an Associate Pastor, a Ministry Staff Teacher, a Youth and Children's sponsor, a Short-term Missionary, and a Christian Education director.  I also led worship for several years.  The Lord has truly been gracious in allowing me to minister with a variety of faithful preachers, teachers, evangelists, and missionaries.  Of course, none of that means anything without a dedication to the Lord and a commitment to follow Him, preach His Word without compromise, and love people.  I hope that I have a track record of doing just that.  Before the Lord called me to preach and minister to the churches, He truly blessed me with my wife, Cheryl.  We were married in 1982 and it has been a great 27+ years.  She's genuinely been my helper in the Lord, a loving wife, a great friend, and the outstanding mother of our three children.

Our church here at New Hope has seen quite a transition over the years.  I'm referring to the time several years before I arrived.  Once a traditional main line denominational church, New Hope found it's way into a new and exciting path back in 1996.  Using my history and experience in the Pentecostal movement these past few years now, the Lord is helping us to find our way into some exciting things as the Holy Spirit is teaching us about His touch and empowering.

I love to preach the Word of God.  It's a privilege to be able to do so.  As we endeavor here at New Hope to grow an exciting church for the glory of the Lord, I invite you to join with us.  If you need Jesus, we're looking for you.  If you know Jesus and are looking for a place to join in and get involved, we're looking for you.  If you are looking for a place to use the gifts the Lord has given you, we're looking for you.  If you are hurting, and need the support and help of a loving congregation, we're looking for you.  Why not come on out, and meet the people here some Sunday or Wednesday?  One thing is for sure, you'll get a hand shake and a nice "hello"!  That's one thing they say about our congregation.  They're certainly friendly!
