Concerning our hope if we choose to become and remain followers of Jesus:
"...Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.."

Concerning God's faithfulness and our unwavering stand in the hope of the gospel:
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."

Concerning the resurrection power towards us if we hope in the gospel:
"Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient cihldren, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, 'Be holy, for I am holy'."

Concerning our responsiblility to keep our hope in the grace of God:
"Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as he is.  And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Concerning our hope in the coming of Jesus:
